So, "Unicorns & Fairy Dust" was officially published yesterday in The Mark Literary Review (https://docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/0a3c70_6b2240a1954f4e7f89018fc747f35109.pdf). I'm right towards the top of the table of contents, page 4. I'm super-excited, but humbled, that yet another essay was able to find a literary home for herself.
I created the title "Unicorns & Fairy Dust" because I needed something to capture the greater essence of the story--that the narrator still hangs onto dreams that she cannot see are out of her reach, for the time and the moment. So "unicorns & fairy dust" is the term I use to represent that beautiful, dreamy, peaceful world that reality says she can't have.
